I have a 98 5 speed firebird and there is a guy around here who has a 2001 auto firebird.. He wants my 5 speed and I want his auto.. what all needs to be done to do the swap.. I know the trannies, my clutch and flywheel, his tq converter and flywheel ( flexplate), my clutch master cylinder and pedal, tranny cooler, and center concils.. what else do we need to do this swap??

I am not 100% sure if you can on our cars.

Guess you just copy all the stuff over form a auto car to your bin then reupload it.CHANGE TUNE FROM AUTO TO MANUAL OR VICE VERSA:
1) Get tune from Bin file repository or somewhere. Copy out of someone with same year car as you if you like.
2) Upload file just as though you would any other file.
3) Enjoy you now have a M6/A4 program.

why would you wanna switch to auto?
maybe just for traffic driving. but who cares bout traffic.
autos have hydraulic tranny mounts, but i dunno bout manuals2k2 camaro, K&N, SLP whisper lid, Konis, AEM, HP Tuners, Angel eyes/Halos, CF SS ram air hood, 4.10s, Zexel Torsen, UMI SFCs, CrossFire, BFGs, Gatorback, Catco, Flows, and TLC! DONT feed the Trolls!Comment

What is this hydraulic tranny mount you speak of? Never heard of such a thing on an F-body...

An auto is more consistant.. sont have to worry about missing gears and backfiring.. This is just a possibilty.. I am more than likley going to rebuild my 5 speed with G-force kit.. But there is nothing like haveing a stalled auto..Jeff ..
