    what is this? and do i need it/how do i know if i would need it? currently i have stock 3.42s w/lsd and planning on going to 4.10s soon.

    Was originally for the Auburn LSDs. They have clutch packs that need the additive to help reduce clicking noises. It's just a friction modifier to change how the clutches catch and slip.

    Torsen units don't require it because there's no clutches, just gears. I never bothered putting it in, and I've never had problems. Some people do use it, others don't. Can't really remember offhand anyone actually needing it to stop any noise. Using it isn't going to hurt anything, though.

    On the Torsens, it just quites down any loud noises coming from back there.

        You just pour it in with the diff fluid in the fill port of the rear end.

          i think my rear end is leaking? sorryi dont know anything about how LSD works.. . :(

              Could be a leak, but hard to tell from that pic. It is pretty grimy, though.

              The most common leak for our cars is the pinion seal. It's where the driveshaft enters the rear end. Fluid can leak out of there and usually gets flung all over the place.

                hey dude, thats exactly how my rear looks.
                i went ahead and made sure those bolts were just a little tighter.
                nobodys ever worked on my car since i bought it.
