    when i floor it... i can kinda hear rattling....

    I have a 96 3.8L A4 when i floor it and the RPM's get up to 4000+ i can kinda hear a slight rattling.... what could that be? anyone know?

    I'm sorry i forgot to add that the rattling is coming from the engine...
    i found this out, by opening the hood and having someone floor it while in neutral... and the rattling is coming from the engine area...

        any heat shield from the engine to the muffler. in particular the one 'shielding' the gas tank from the i pipe.

        you shouldnt attach heat shield to the vibrating parts of the car. hello, is anyone listening at gm?
