i filled the tranny completely up with fluid. i checked it while in park while the car was hot and it read fine. then about a week later it will barely go into gear and the tranny is completely empty! i looked around for a while and couldn't find a leak. the pan isn't dented at all so theres no hole in it or anything. i did a search and it came up with nothing...has this happened to anyone else?? TIA

Did you check to see if the coolant is getting contaminated with trans fluid? It could be a leak in the radiator trans cooler.Or possibly an external leak going on to hot exhaust pipe or cat & burning away slightly so its hard to detect?
Then did you do a good refill of the trans ,asuming you did a fluid change on this one?I just did a filter & fluid replacement & had to add about a qt. after driving the car for about 15-20 mi.,& before that the dip stick was at the hot fill mark. This is after I had gone thru instructions of shifting the trans thru all gears, several times to get proper fluid circulation. Are you sure the trans is completely empty? Seems kind of unlikely.geocor
