• Buying a new clutch

About a month ago I bought my car. At the time I knew the car would be needing a new clutch, but I didn't mind it at the time because I was still learning how to drive a manual properly.
Well, the time has come to finally get a new clutch, but I don't know what companies are reliable to buy from. I know I could go to a dealership and have them rape me on installation and price of the part, but I don't have the money for that.
I am looking at this one on eBay right now, but I don't know if it's anygood.

Also if any of you know of one that is at or about the same price range, but better, let me know.

actualy it's brass not copper. and they tend to be more stable in high performance aplications. I used the regualr bearing that came with my spec to just see how it is and if it hold up. when I change my clutch next time I'll see how it looks.

yeah they are soft. There was a large dent in the back when I pulled mine out with a seal puller. But I read a lot that the bearing tends to fail more and the bushing is more fergiving espeicaly if you do not get the clutch cenetered perfect or there is some play in the input shaft. I'm just gona try both and see but either should do you fine

Yes, it;s a seal puller. has a small hook on one end, a handle and a flat where you can hammer away from the object. It's not like a normal seal puller. It works great for these kinds of things

Alright back on topic, the clutch I posted, it says VALEO on the auction page, but I cannot tell if it says VALEO in the picture.

Valeo IS the company GM usues for clutches, and people that have bought clutches from SLP they are all VALEO clutches.

Only thing is I am not sure if the pic shows its is a vlaeo clutch. I am going to contact the guy and see. If it is, then its OEM.
