Well I just got done putting in a Hurst t-5 shifter for my firebird and when i left the shop, well one of my friends said spin them, so well i did and going around the corner my right tire spinned and i herd a clunking from the rear and it was jumping. Now a few days later a go from first to second fine and that and when i give it gas it seems to not want to go and has a hard time accelerating. it feels like something rubbing and causing friction in the rear or in the transmission and has a weird sound to it. Iwas wondering if it would be the diff. or ring and pin, or worse something in the tranny. it feels like a slip/rub in it and is loud. really can't floor it in second without hitting about 4000r.pm. and hearing the sound. So if you have an idea please reply i hope to get this fixed. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it seems like the rear end, it is more of a rubbing noise then a grinding and seems to vibrate the whole car when it gets to a certain rpm when i am on the gas. when i am at a complete stop and put it in first, the vibration is almost there, then second about the 4k rpm it is there and very annoying. Almost like the feeling of a clutch slipping, but the kid that had it before me put a new one in and i have put about 7k on the car and the clutch still feels tight

Yeah if i put it to the ground and burn out the transmission seems like it wants to jump right through the inside of my car. It will lift the shifter high in the air from the acceleration and then cruzing on the highway in second i can gas it and the tranny will lift and the noise will appear at higher rpm. does it sound like the tranny mounts or might it be the clutches in my diff getting worn out? the kid that had it before me seemed to like to spin them quite a bit.

Hey guys,
Well i am going to my friends shop tomorrow morning and going to take a look at my car and see if it is the tranny mount. For some reason now it seems like i am losing power now and doesnt accelerate to good now, Could this be the tranny mount also? If not we are goint to look at the Diff and see if anything is messed up in there. And specific things i should look for? Then check the drive shaft and if worse comes to worse maybe check the Tranny and see if something is messed up in there. I was coming home tonight and it seemed like it only had power in the corners.
