I have the 3.8L V6 2000 Camaro and a few months ago I had a dual centerforce clutch and the SLP 3.73 gears professionally installed. I went to the track and there was no gain in et's. What can I don to improve this? What else would be good for upgrades for drivetrain for this vehicle?

We need more info on the track times to be able to help. It's quite possible either you aren't using them to their full advantage, or the weather changed dramatically. Can you post the full track times?Matt

I can't find my recent track times but I do know that in the 1/8 mile the best I could get with the new gears and clutch was barely a 9.999. Before I had the new parts put in I was running a 9.884 which was my best. Weather was about 75-85 degrees. The times ate the track were with the stock rims but I run a set of 18x9.5 Z06 rims on the street, and with those on it feels even slower. Some of the cars I use to race and win with stock rims I struggle against with the larger rims.

Larger/wider rims and tires = more weight. It may not seem like much difference, but it's unsprung rotating mass.1994 Firebird 3.4<br />15.65 @ 86.8<br /><a href=\"http://www.funkz.net/firebird.htm\" target=\"_blank\">funkz.net/firebird</a><br /><a href=\"http://mywebpages.comcast.net/funkz/timeslips.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Timeslips</a>

i run 17x9.5s and i went 9.73 with stock 3.23s.
on the same rims, i went 9.32 with 3.73s.
don't take this personally, but i'm guessing you aren't a very good driver, because i'm lousy and i still managed what i got.
EDIT: so that this post will at least attempt to be constructive, we need a full timeslip, and if nothing else at least your 60' and trap speed.
