is it the cable on the side of the tranny?? i am removing the tranny and not sure how to remove the cable on the side of it...not sure if it a speedo cable or a clutching assembly...need a little help on this...

The speedo cable is just a wire inside of wire loom, and it has an electrical connector that goes into the tranny. hum...is it possible to put a switch on it?

You can use a DPDT switch on it. I have a switch on mine.. It doesnt cut off speed limiter.. The wire is located in the kick panal on the passenger side..Jeff ..

I put it on so when I race my car I can cut my speedo.. I have 3.73's and my speedo is off my 10mph.. So when I am doing 113 I am actually doing 103.. With the speedo off when I hit 113 I am actually doing 113..Jeff ..

So your switch is between the computer and the speedo. Try putting it between the VSS and the computer.
