Ok heres the story. My A4 transmission used to be perfect until i started with putting mobil 1 synthetic atf in it. After that my 1-2 shifts were longer and a lot different and it would shift from 2-3 only after about 5500 rpms.
1)Without even checking the level of the Atf. I had a shop take it all out and put in regualr atf thinking that the synthetic was my problem.
2)I drove it home and it was still weird so i decided to check the atf level this time and it was way overfilled.
3)I broguht it back and had them siphon it out until it was at the right level. Now the other day i was drivning and the 2-3 wouldnt shift and i had it bouncing off the rev limiter. I shut it down and drove it again and as of now it is back to needing a lot of rpms to switch into third. After a good amount of driving it will occasionaly shift from 2-3 like it should and used to but not very often. My 1-2 shifts are perfect and my atf is at the perfect level. I just need to know what is going on with my tranny and how it can be fixed. Please help
