  • LSD locked up!

Today coming home from work and i was a red light going to make left.

I hit the gas and the car seamed VERY heavy it would go anywhere untill i really gave it some gas and i squeeked through the left turn the whole time my driver side was locked up and wouldnt move, only the right hand side tire would turn and was moving the car.

I immediately pull over to the side where i put it in park and tried again but once again it wouldnt move.

I then put it in reverse and it unlocked themn i put it in drive and it was back normal...

Should i be concerened about the LDS? Its a Zexel Torsen from SLP.

Did you put the LSD in? Did you also put in the slip additive? Have you checked your gear oil level recently?

I did not put the LSD in, i did not pul LSD additive as i read from GM that this type of LSD does not need slip additive.

How do i go about checking the level?

you could start with pulling the plug on the passenger side... gotta get under the car for that though.

sure it wasn't an ebrake malfunction of some kind?

the e-brakes arent that stout, you can drive w/it on fairly easy so i doubt it was that...
