I'm planning on changing my differential fluid today, and I've heard that filling it back up is a royal PITA. What's the easiest way to do it?

put a short piece of rubber tubing on the nozzle of the bottle and run the other end into the differential. this way you can invert the bottle and force the fluid up into the diff.
otherwise you need to jack up the frame of the car so you can pour the bottle into the diff.

At Checkers I got this pump top thing that screws onto the top of the gear oil bottle, and has a tube you run into the diffy. About $5 I think, worked like a charm for both the diff and the trans (with a short flush in between the two).

I picked one up today. It made things much much easier. But then again, it might not have been too hard anyway. I used Lucas full synthetic fluid, and it has like a "squeeze" top to it haha2000 3.8L Firebird, Silver Metallic

\"Yes, London. From Torsen's FAQ page:
Is it true that the Torsen unit in the production Camaro needs the GM modifier added?
(cut)
When replacing the fluid it is at the owner's discretion whether or not to add the modifier.

I picked up the modifier today. Since I changed the diff. fluid just a couple of days ago, I opened the fill plug and pumped out about half the fluid, the same way I put it in, just backwards. I pumped it back into the original bottle, added the modifier, and then topped it off with the differential fluid. Easier than your average hooker.2000 3.8L Firebird, Silver Metallic

\"Yes, London. You know, fish, chips, cup o\' tea, bad food, worse weather, Mary f***in\' Poppins, London!!\"
