  • What spec clutch do you guys reccomend?

Alright guys what Spec clutch do your reccomend.

I want as close to stock feel as I can get, but I want to be able to hold my 14.4 and better runs, and possibly later in the future lets jsut say power to hold up to mid 12s(not sure if it will happen but want a buffer if I run low 13s high 12s)

    Thanks in advance.

i would say SPEC 3.. nad reading your other post about a nos shot.

i have felt the stagge 2 and i have the stage 5, the stage 3 is the best street/strip clutch. but i love my stage 5 but it would get really in like 3 hours of traffic lol..... i would go with the stage 3.,

Stage 3 is ok for daily driving.... You just have to relearn how to do easy take offs to avoid chattering.

spec III is not close to stock. It has light pedal feel, but it grabs like a bastard. For a 14.4, I would get a Spec II.

It took me about a month to learn how to make my Spec III launch in a non violent manner.

Actually, the new Xpad on the SPEC Stage 3's, daily driving is very nice!!! I swapped my old Kevlar stage 3 out for this, and it still grabs very well...and next to no chatter on 99% of all take-offs.

The Xpad feels like stock in terms of engaging, whereas the old ones were killer and had a learning curve for take-offs.
