In a 3.8l engine what, if any benefits would i gain from switching my rear gears from 3.23s to 3.42's in a manuel transmission?

better off the line acceleration. Might not be so strengthy on top end but off the line will make all the difference. Try this in the general tech, you might get more responses. -

Going from 3.23's to 3.42's will help your off the line, 0-60, 60 ft. and 1/4 mile.
