  • Quick question on shift kit

Im looking into buying a trans go shift kit w/ the vetter server for my car (auto, 3.08) and was wondering do i have to manually shift the car after i install the kit or can i still drive it like an auto.

You can still drive it normally...if you're into that! The shift kit will help when you're racing. Put the car in first and hit the gas, when you redline, slip it second and so on. The kit and servo will make your shifts firmer with quicker.

I would not suggest manually shifting an automatic. It knows better than you do when to shift. Let the automatic do its job. Manually shifting an automatic will NOT result in faster ET's...

Really, I didn't know that. I've been racing for 2-3 years now and when I'm at the strip I always shift manually...I thought it improved my times.
