what is the difference between the TRANS GO shift kit and the B&M shift kit.
they say the TRans GO is a "true shift kit"...what exactly does this mean, and really which is better? there is obviously a price difference as trans go shifters are about $140 and B&M is about $40. LET ME KNOW
The B&M is an "electronic" shift kit for newer transmissions controlled by the cars computer. Many performance "chips" , programmers and tuning software do the exact same thing but add all the other goodies. The B&M ONLY affects the shift firmness and not the shift points. The good thing is the B&M can be turned on and off at your wish. It does not shift as hard as a Mechanical shift kit.
A mechanical shift kit ( like the Trans go) installs inside the automatic transmission and affects the actual fluid flow. It can not be turned on or off but is more affective than the B&M.
It is your choice. But if you are going to get OR have a chip or a programmer I would go with the mechanical.
