This is mainly to those who have short shifters, especially the b&m ripper. I was thinking about cutting down the the threads a half inch or a little more to shorten it up. Has anyone done this, or would recommend it, or not recommend it? It wouldn't affect the way the knob screws on as long as there is still just enough thread to get it on snug would it?

Re: To those with short shifters
I have the ripper and I like it the way it is. But, if you do want to shorten it...
Just cut it to the desired length and re-tap it with a Tap & Die Kit. Just make sure the shifter is the same width down to where you want to cut it, or you may have a problem trying to regrind it.sigpic

Re: To those with short shifters
Might be worth an email to Lou to see if anything is being worked on... or if he's just abandoned the idea of doing a Ripper version. Emails never hurt... might find something interesting.. maybe even a sample test one.FirebirdV6.com/CamaroV6.com Administrator
