I had it on my firebird, install was simple you will have the feeling of a ujoint going bad which they say is normal especially if you have a manual, I would recommend it
Considered a "lunch box locker" by us Jeep folk.... it's an easy install (other than the NASTY smell of gear lube) and it will click like blackfbird said. It's very odd at first, but you get use to it. If installed correctly, I think this could last quite some time in a V6.

The question is why would you want this when there are better limited slip differentials available.
This is a version of a "locker" (ratchet). Lockers are mostly used by two groups. Racers when it is the only limited slip permitted by the rules, or offroad folks where the slip of the tires on the dirt compensates for the relatively harsh locking action.
For normal street use a smoother limited slip differential is better. No noise/harshness, handles better in turns.
Torsen (worm gears) is the best, Auburn (clutch pack) is OK.
