my girlfriend just bought a 99 V6 camaro today with an automatic. i havnt got a chance to drive it yet cuz its still at the dealership, but i just read something about "second gear starts" so the wheels dont spin? whats this all about and how does it affect the performance of the car? is there a way to delete it?

its for better traction in bad weather. it makes the tranny start in second gear for better traction in snow pretty much. as long as you dont push the button it wont effect performance at all. theres no real reason to delete it.
