tranny mount

Hey guys, i got underneth my car trying to find the problem of the knocking sound i hear.

Well,i think it may be the tranny mount.

When i looked at the crosmember i saw the mount, and i saw the circular disc.

Well, heres my question... is the disc suppose to be touching the tranny? (I would assume it should) because i can stick my finger through where the disc is, and the transmission.

I have a 5spd BTW.
