T5 tranny drain and refill question

Hi, I have two questions in regards to the T5 tranny.
1) Does anyone know on which side of the T5 the drain plug is located on; driver or passenger? The service manual is a little confusing by stating the right side.
2) Has anyone used Royal Purples Synchromax fluid? Any bad side effects that could possibly come from using this for new tranny fluid?

I've searched for both answers the past few days and cannot find either answer in previous posts. Thanks in advance for the replies.

The plug is located on the passenger (right) side. Anytime someone or something says "right" or "left" side(s), just picture yourself sitting in the drivers seat. The right side is the passenger side.

As for the fluid;
I've used the recommended Dextron III with a small bottle of manual trans additive.
