i want to replace my transmission but i dont know which one to put in. I have a stock aoutomatic right now and I was thinking that putting in a manual would be way too much work and i was looking at b&m and hurst and the have some nice automatic shifters but im not sure how they work or which one to get. I was looking at the quarter sticks on the website...any help would be awsome!

Re: what tranny to use
If you plan on modding your car to a significant degree I would say get an automatic. Not only are they more consisant but once you hit around 300ft lbs, third gear is gonna go boom on a manual. Otherwise, go manual.\'99 SSM Camaro V6 M5
(mod list on cardomain site; too long to list here)
http://www.cardomain.com/id/v6cam99

Re: what tranny to use
manuals have less drivetrain loss, easier to fix, less weight, more fun to drive, real-time control of rpms (which you could on a manual, if you tuned it right),
better gas mileage, more fun, etc etc... screw consistency. I Dunno if I can shift faster than a built auto though?
I've had an auto for years and am tired of it
The only thing good about my auto, is that it has a larger final drive ratio than the manual, which is good for my 4.10 gears on the highway.
I would just prefer a built manual (extra 2 gears woohoo)2k2 camaro, K&N, SLP whisper lid, Konis, AEM, HP Tuners, Angel eyes/Halos, CF SS ram air hood, 4.10s, Zexel Torsen, UMI SFCs, CrossFire, BFGs, Gatorback, Catco, Flows, and TLC! DONT feed the Trolls!
