I have a small clanking seems like the u joints are just getting worn, bent , stretched, whatever it is they do and its the free play before it engages.. drivies me bonkers haha.
Easy fix? no? prices??? Thanks.
( i searched u joints didnt come up with anything, probably out there though. )
Easy fix ... but they have to be pressed in with a 'press'. So doing it in the garage/driveway could pose a problem. Generally, you looking at $15.00-20.00 for each (front/back). If you have the 2-piece driveshaft, it could be that center bearing too, in which case I have no clue. Good Luck
I just recently changed mine and had to use a torch to heat them up red hot to get them out. Pretty tough to get the stock ones out if you don't have the right kind of press since they are held in by some kind of plastic tab.
