  • Alright, I'm FED UP with this.

A month ago, I replaced my slave cylinder as it was leaking. A week after that, the T.O. bearin started whining and scraping.

Last night, I put in a new T.O. bearing and everything was fine. Today, as I am driving, suddenly my clutch goes out and the pedal has no resistance. All my clutch fluid seeps out the bottom of the transmission. Obviously, the slave cylinder went AGAIN, only 35 miles after the new throwout bearing. As I was limping home, my BRAND NEW throwout bearing started squeaking again.

    WHAT is going on here???

check your master cylinder for the slave for any leaks and make SURE that it is fully blead. This one reason that i hate Hydraulic cluches  I had a similar problem with a 95 ranger took a month to figure it out.

Heh yeah it's fully bled. Oh wait, every time I put fluid in the clutch resivore it all leaks out of the bellhousing...

The master is good, I replaced it last spring. I'm guessing I just have bad luck with parts. Hopefully Autozone will give me a new one, because that part should not have failed so fast.

Ok well I've got it all opened up again.

The T.O bearing was completely shredded to pieces. The slave cylinder seal had blown out.

So I'm replacing both now. Thankfully both parts are being replaced on their warranties from NAPA and Autozone.

I ve never had good luck with autozone parts . they seem to be very cheaply made . I bought an acdelco slave a gm master cylinder cause I broke the line. The ac delco is a exact match to the oe .

The slave is made by LUK. I always thought they made high quality parts.
