  • What is this for on the Driveshaft?

    Right before the front U-joint there's a round metal donut held on by rubber. This is just a balancer/dampener, right?

    What do you think would happen if it fell off after I heated up a u-joint and didn't put it back on? :) :spank:

    I just crammed it back on there and added some high temp rtv to get it to slide over the rubber and stay on. Anyone forsee negative effects?
