  • Gears

    What do i look for on ebay. Will anything from a 10 bolt 7.5 work. An if i get teh posi and the gears in stalled in the unit. CAn i put the unit in myself.

    I've heard a lot of people say that the gear swap is a PITA so you might wanna get some second opinions and then maybe some quotes from shops. I think i'm just gonna get a z28 rear end.. might be easier than putting in the gears and the lsd seperate. Someone else chime in tho cause i dont know.

      I installed my own gears and posi. If you ask me, its definately worth it to pay the $300-$400 install fee! definately

        Getting a whole rear-end, and putting it on yourself is the way to go.

        1998 White Camaro 3800, A4, MagnaFlow Cat-Back, Zexel & 3.42's, Jet Chip Stage 2, Whisper Lid, and Ram Air.

          well im assuming that this is the easier route to go then... sounds like thats what i'll end up doing then.
