About 2 weeks ago I installed an aluminum driveshaft out of a LS1 Z28, shortly after I noticed tranny fluid leaking from the rear of the tranny where the yoke slides in, so I replaced the rear tranny seal figuring that would fix it. It is now leaking again, what could the problem be?

Re: Manual tranny leak
So now I put the original 2-piece back in and th leaking stopped. I'm assuming this means that something is wrong with the slip yoke on the aluminum ds. Would it work to put the 2-piece slip yoke on the the aluminum ds because according to www.tacreationsusa.com the 2-pice has a yoke that is .25" shorter.

Originally posted by camaro862gcjyes, but you also have to remember that the 2-piece bolts to the torque arm so it isnt straight like a 1-piece. I guess the only way to check would to be to measure from u-joint to u-joint while it is sitting on the ground.Robert - owner www.FirebirdV6.com/CamaroV6.com
