Peeing tranny

My brother has a box truck that is leaking fluid really fast when i poor it in it comes out of a hole that use to have a thing in it . so what did i cirice in this picture??

Isnt that like an overflow outlet?
Maybe you have too much fluid in it?

i dont know i use to have to let it worm up befor the tranny will catch. if i get in and start it and throw it in gear and hit the gass it just revs live its in nutral and then slowly starts learching forward. i usealy add fluid and its good to go. but it suddenly started slipping bad on the road so i pulled over and it wads dripping a lot. i added fluid and tightened the pan bolts . it was fine for a half a mile then loosing power it revs and nothing happens. i stoped to add more fluid like this is WEIRD!! and i am adding it and i c it leaking out of this hole!?!?

i think its like a pressure relife like on a red gas can so air bubbles can get out of the tranny? my 700r4 in mt t/a has it too

That is a vent tube. From what I was told, it will pump excess fluid out that, or I the problem I had, will pump all the fluid out.

Is it just a sometimes thing? If it is just a little coming out sometimes, then it might just be over full. More fluid in a auto tranny is worse than less fluid.

If it is just pumping and pumping the fluid out the vent tube, then the valve body is being pressurized some how, and will need professional attention.
