so i've been noting chattering coming from the back now for a while. happens ususally on slippery roads when slowing down, but if i hit a bump it might do it for a while, even while accelerating. i got 101k miles. is diffy fluid like trans fluid? should i change it or just leave it in? or am i pretty much doomed to shell out for a new rear end? i have the Y87 LSD btw...

Before you go replacing gears, axles, etc...you should check your u-joints on the driveshaft.sigpic -
