The 5 speed Mustangs have the same T-5 Borg Warner tranny as us. Are the shifters interchangeable? Specifically, would an aftermarket 5spd GT shifter work with my tranny? If not, what is different?

i doubt it, the way that a shifter comes up through the console on a mustang is different. they are like a gooseneck shape. i think the camaro M5 comes more straight up. i have an auto though so i cant give you first hand reference, just what i remember. -

just installed hurst shifter - - im impressed with how short the throw is - but was thinking of putting a shorter stick made by hurst for a mustang on it
