I took out my torque convertor cause it was stuck to the engine when I pulled it. So it slid right off the input shaft.
Do I need to fill the T.C. with trans oil before i put it back on?
Does the tranny have some kind of pump that needs to be reprimed? lol
I know, sounds rediculous.

Yes, fill the torque converter with new fluid before you install it. You will get spillage when you are trying to align the splines of the input shafts with the converter. That is not a big deal. Make sure the torque converter seal in the pump housing is lubricated before sliding the torque converter into it and make sure the torque converter is fully inserted into the transmission. You can sometimes be fooled that the converter is installed all the way, then when you go to mate the trans to the engine the two won't close on each other. This happens when the splines on the transmission inner input shaft are not engaged with the Turbine assembly inside the converter.
As long as the fluid is not contaminated and you didn't remove the oil pan, then a flush and new filter would not be required. I would definitely use new oil for filling the tranny when everything is back together.
