Z28 driveshaft fit 3.4L?

Will the stock driveshaft off a 97 Z28 fit a 95 RS with 3.4L. Both cars autos.
3.4L RS has split shaft and the Z28 is a one peice shaft. Carrier bearing shot on split drive shaft on 3.4L and cost a mint to replace. They don't sell carrier bearing alone, you have to buy it and new driveshaft as one unit! Thanks for your know how.

I think I found my answer on post below. Sorry I didn't look good first. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but seems like 1 and 2 peice shafts will swap out. Thanks again. Ben

yep, direct swap, mines off a trans am

Yes its a direct swap. Odds are the driveshaft you are getting isn't aluminum though, which will actually yield a small difference in times and feel

yeah i forgot to add that, try and find 1 of the newer, ls1 body style, i think the majority of those came with aluminum 1s like mine, which i think is off an 01

ellis juans's weren't the only cars to get the aluminum shaft, thind *third gen** (yeah, cheap plug ;) )

well i never said no other f bodies had them.. i just said shoot for the ls1 ds cuz i KNOW theyre good:)

Third gens had aluminum shaft? Never knew that. Maybe i will get one of those since the ls1 driveshafts are overpriced.
