Is that a vent tube?

    Is that a vent tube?

    There is a thin metal tube that is just about dead center on top of my auto tranny. What is that for? The reason I ask is because while doing my engine swap a forgot to plug a rubber tube into it:(

    Is it a 4L60E? Read this... http://forum.camarov6.com/showthread.php?t=70003 There shouldn't be a hose or anything attached to the vent tube... it will just spill on your exhaust and smoke alot.

      Yup thats the tube. There was just a short rubber tube connected to it and I could not find where the other end went so i figured it was just to vent/leak excess fluids. thanks a bunch
