in the yoke there is what ooks to be a rubber seal right? well my question is... is that a o ring or a peceof rubber built in to the yoke on my driveshaft it has small cracks and stuff so can i buy a new rubber piece or o ring to replace that with i am worred that it won't seal right cause of the cracks can someone help me???

The Yolk is attached to the rearend housing. It's what the driveshaft hooks onto with Four (4) 7/16" bolts. It's a bit more complicated to just remove the yolk, replace the seal, and reinstall.
What part are you describing? If the rubber part is on the driveshaft, then it sounds like you are describing the Universal Joint Caps that hold the Needle Bearings. There are Four of them per-U-Joint, and you'll need to replace it. Not hard to do, but time consuming. The new U-Joints cost about $25 and they come with 4 new caps/seals.sigpic
