problems in 4th gear

whenever im driving around, and i go above 40 so my car shifts into 4th gear, then let off the gas... the car shakes slightly. its almost not noticable, but has begun to get on my nerves. it only happens when im in 4th gear, if i let off the gas when im in 2nd or 3rd it just coasts calmly, but when the engine is slowing the car down in 4th, you can feel an uneven vibration. could this be my gears going? i am completely confused with this, and i dont want to replace anything, or worse, take it to the dealership before i know what the problem is

when my gears were going out they would whine on decel in ANY gear
so maybe its trans related?
dont really remeber them vibrating though

i have this problem sometimes too, but its not when i let off the gas, its when im at really low rpms like 1200-1500. really low end torque and it shakes a little. maybe its the cam though. hm.

yeah mine is only on deceleration, when im on the gas theres no shuddering
