how fast should a 3.8 V6 camaro be going when the tach redlines and shifts into second? with an automatic

i think the highest speed that u can get out of second gear with a stock rev limiter is somewhere around 57-58? i know thats about what i get when ive redlined second

Depends on gears. My tranny (auto) shifts out of second at 6000rpms and
about 80mph. I have 3.42 gears.

oh, my bad. I misread the post. I shift out of first at about 40.

i have A4 and factory 3.42 (GU6) no LSD.

it feels like the car hits the rev limiter as it's going from 1-2...
it is as if the car attempts to shift at a certain rpm and the tach needle keeps climbing until it fully engages 2nd. it feels like it accelerates perfectly this way AND it is smooth (maybe too smooth). it looks like the needle hits 6000, but it is likely just a hair under that.

my concern is spraying through the shift. if the car hits the rev limiter...
