what year car, what transmission? do you know what gears are in the rear end?
You might want to search ebay for a torsen, other than that an auburn. The gear will decide whether you what kind of carrier you have.-Brad

to find out what is in the rear of your car (what gears you have and if you have stock LSD - limited slip differential as opposed to posi-traction), open your driver door and look at the metal where it seals up against the body.. you'll see a sticker that looks like this
then go to the tech section of this site http://tech.firebirdv6.com/generalspecs.html
and scroll down.. below you will see "RPO codes."
the codes that are on that door sticker will tell you what your car came out of the factory with. the tech section of this site will tell you what the codes mean.
