Ok i searched around and could not really find quite what I am looking for. I have a 1997 RS without the Y87 package all stock. I just bought a set of 3.42 gears. Am I going to need to buy an LSD of some kind before I put them in, or is it ok to not have it? Any help is greatly appreciated!

you do not need to buy it but it is a nice thing to have. adding an LSD is possible later on. -

ok thanks so much, i probably will later on, but for now I just wanted the gears, cause the LSD is quite pricy and I have college to pay for too!

if u have an auto u will need the lsd to put in the 3:42 gears because those gears wont work on a 2 series carrier1997 Camaro LS1 RS
