Problematic Clutch symptoms ?

Meh, this weekend my clutch started acting up..

I think it's time for a new clutch with 130k on the stocker...

Anyway, i was wondering what are some of the symptoms youve seen when your clutch went bad or started going bad.

The only thing im really experiencing is not getting full grab at take off, and it stinks like hell if i launch it, which im guessing is the slippage.


& also what clutches do you all have in your car and how much were they.. ill be doing this myself and i dont need a super high performance clutch but id like something decent.

i was considering going with a oem clutch, hell it lasted 130k.

slippage = stinkage yea.

last i checked ( last month) OEM clutches were BARELY cheaper than aftermarket clutches.

go down the road, get going 40ish, put it in 5th and give it some gas. if the rpms go up faster than you speed then your clutch is toast. but it has to be pretty bad to do this.

you said it seems like it slips when you launch, which makes sence. but yea, sounds like your clutch is going out to me.

Yeah it hasnt taken a dump yet but i had my buddy in the car and was on smooth blacktopped parking lot and just launched it, normally i would have just sat there roasting tire like nobodys business but the clutch slipped like a mother and smelt like a skunk took a sh!t in my car haha

i got the spec 2...thing grips real good i cant remember how much i got it for but i got it from ftpp.net about 2 yrs ago
