so i wanted to buy the 4.10 gears for my a4 firebird but i do not feel like paying an extra $175 for a paddle pin kit. my question is is it ok to put on the 3.90 gears instead and not have to get the paddle pin kit and get about the same performance as the 4.10's. i have 3.42 stock with no lsd and will be get a lsd installed at the same time. how much more will the 3.90 help me out in the 1/8 mile u think? i know it has so many factors with traction, altitude, etc but just a rough estimate?

Re: 3.90 gears still fit w/o paddle kit
The paddle kit is for the OEM Zexel Torsen limited silp, is that what you're getting? You could go with another brand, or 3.73 gears, or just grind the teeth down slightly on the 4.10's.1994 Firebird 3.4<br />15.65 @ 86.8<br /><a href=\"http://www.funkz.net/firebird.htm\" target=\"_blank\">funkz.net/firebird</a><br /><a href=\"http://mywebpages.comcast.net/funkz/timeslips.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Timeslips</a>
