a friend of mine said you have to have the flywheel resurfaced. and when i ordered the clutch, the saleman asked me if i wanted to buy a new flywheel too.
If you have alot of miles on your car just pick up a new one for $120. Just a piece of mind not worrying about it while your in there.

on top of that our flywheels are used to help balance the engine. The machine shop can throw off the balance if they screw up. On top of that I'd rather pay the 120 than have to slow down my install by making a visit to the machine shop.

Just make sure it can be safely machined within the proper specs. I can't remember what minimum thickness is off the top of my head. Your machine shop should take care of you.
Take your pressure plate with you to the machine shop, and have it balanced as well.
