Has anybody ever tried 4.56 gears in there v6, I thinking on trying them. Do you all think it is worth it?

I would go for 4.10s until your 3.4 is putting out more power2k2 camaro, K&N, SLP whisper lid, Konis, AEM, HP Tuners, Angel eyes/Halos, CF SS ram air hood, 4.10s, Zexel Torsen, UMI SFCs, CrossFire, BFGs, Gatorback, Catco, Flows, and TLC! DONT feed the Trolls! -

You can run 4.56's if you want bad gas mileage and only drive it at the track...

Contrary to what some internet sources will tell you, quite a few people run 4.10 gears with their V6's. I'm one of them. The fastest Cam-only V6 is another. The fastest stock-internals 3800 is another one too.Originally posted by firebirdv6 3.4Comment

sorry to bring back a dead thread
but I think 4.56s in a 3.4 is rediculous (unless you wanna race only the 60 foots or 1/8th mile) ...and the car wouldnt be a highway driver for sure
putting in 4.56s would leave no room for a higher stall
you 3.4 guys have an even smaller/shorter powerband than us 3.8s!!

Once you go over that powerband, your not making peak power anymore
Instead of outrageous gears you should consider a stall with less gear than 4.56 (maybe 3.73s)
You havent even told us if you have a manual or auto?
and havent filled out your user description....sorry, but youre the typical n00b ;)
