  • Clutch went out (i think)

    Hey guys,

I have a 1995 camaro, so the other day I was driving home and I
pushed the clutch in to change into second gear but when I released
the petal the clutch would not engage. It then started making a really
loud screachy noise, It continues making this noise weather i am
pressing the clutch petal or not. I am able to move the stick through
all the gears but when I release the clutch petal it does nothing. Any
    thoughts on this?

    Thanks,

    -Scott

Throw out bearing seized? (Or slave cylinder problem) Clutch plate itself might be fine..

Does kind of sound like a throw out bearing/slave problem.

although my friends gs-t eclipse did the same thing, and his clutch was shattered, the springs were broken and it was a huge mess.

your not pushing that much power, and probably couldnt do that.

I just replaced my clutch, and it was just slipping badly.. had no problem shifting or driving though.

      Good luck with it
