question on sawing stock shifter?

i just sawed my stock shifter about 1 inch or so and have pictures...is there a post on how to do this cause if not i can right one up with tools, pics, and instruction and post it up....didnt find anything on the search....however lately i suck at searching so i wanted to ask before i even bother.

I've searched and found nothing. I just did it to my car as well, but I didn't use saw, I used a cut-off wheel.
