well i have been hearing a whining in the transmission area of the car for a while now and letting the clutch out she makes a squeaking sound so i was sure the throw out bearing needed to be replaced. well today im leaving taco bell and the there are some awful clunking metal to metal sounds coming from the clutch/flywheel area. sure enough after about 10 minutes of impossible shifting the clutch is like wicked hard to press in and when shes running i cant get it into gear period. i am assuming the clutch it fused to the flywheel or something of that nature. if i can shift cleanly thru gears when shes turned off that means the transmssion is fine right? no broken forks or gears or what not. im just trying to see if anyone has had this problem. i dont mind doing the work, it needed it anyway just wanna see of maybe my assumption is correct, tho i probably wont kno til i take it apart. any thing you guys can give me opinion wise would be cool. thanks.

Re: clutch sucks
Yes, check your clutch fluid. Also, the last time I heard a whining noise coming from underneath the car, my tranny went out a day later from it being low on gear oil, so you may want to check that out as well. (even though I didn't have the symptoms of it being hard to shift gears, not that I noticed anyways)
