Anyone here using one? I was given a Trans-Am rear end with a 2-series LSD and 2.73 gears. I was wanting to put 3.73's in it, but not have to go and buy a whole new posi unit. Did some searching and found these spacers. Summit has them for $30 for 2-series carriers just in case no one knew. Anyways, this would be all I needed to make my 3-series gears work in a 2-series carrier, right? Other than an install kit and all of course. Has anyone had any problem with them? TIA

Re: Ring Gear Spacers
Well, what I was planning on doing, since I already have the rear-end was swap my 3.23's into there for right now. Then, once I get enough money for an install, a tune for the gears, and the gears (those are necessary believe it or not :P ) I'd switch them. Right now I'm kinda happy with my gearing, but want 3.73's. I know someone who'll swap them over for me, I just have to find a way to make them work in the 2-series carrier. I guess I'll go ahead and give it a try.~97 3.8L V6 Camaro~

Re: Ring Gear Spacers
whoa there, cheapo-cowboy...think this thru: if you just put spaces on the 2-series carrier to make 3 series gears fit, the ring bolts are only gonna have about half(and that's being generous) the thread actually in the ring gear. I mean, if you're cool romping on your new 3.73s with only half the ring-bolt thread, then by all means, go for it

Re: Ring Gear Spacers
Well, since they make 3.73's for the 2-series carrier, I'd probably pick up a set of them. But, right now I only have like $50ish to spend, and would like to get my posi put in, instead of it sitting there collecting dust. I figured, for $30 more I could go ahead and have my posi by swapping in my current 3.23's in my rear end. Then I'd buy the 3.73's abit later (like a month)~97 3.8L V6 Camaro~
