about how much would it cost to replace a clutch on a 94 camaro with a 3.4 V6 and a 5 speed?

    Re: clutch

Probably around $350 for a shop to do it, and you supply the parts.

I had a shop tell me 700 to do the clutch

I had a shop tell me 2,000-2,500 for everything, slave, master, and clutch

That is crazy, are they doing a engine & tranny for that price.lol
The $700.00 sounds about right for a new clutch, slave, master and install.

where are you gonna find clutch, slave, master and flywheel ( which i forgot to mention ) for $700 ?

they would pretty much be doing the install for free

3-400 ish for the clutch alone
                  100 for the slave
                  master- i duno
                  flywheel- 100ish...

                    Re: clutch

Clutch kits are only like 230 from autozone unless your getting an aftermarket clutch then its prolly gonna cost you 300 or 400. Flywheel u usually don't have to change maybe have it machined but thats not much at all. and slave cylinders like 60 bucks. I'd give full clutch rebuild 300 in parts if ur replacing it with stock. We just replaced a clutch in my buddies toyota truck i think it cost him 310 for all parts (clutch kit, slave cylinder)

master is around 80ish i belive, i dont remember exactly what i paid for mine. but you dont need a flywheel, just have it resurfaced.

                        Re: clutch

Depending on the miles and if your going with a after market clutch I would go ahead and spend the extra $130 for a fly wheel , I think G.m book time is 4 hours for a clutch install and thats 85.00 hr, I think the master is around a hundred or a little over and slave is around $80.00, G.m clutch will be in the 300's , so might as well go with an aftermarket. It would put above $800 for parts and labor , but you could do it for less than 500 if you did it yourself.

Yes , that would be a stock one.
