Ive done some research on this Hard shifting from 1st to 2nd, and the common fix seems to be to replace the broken valve with the Sonnax Kit, and if you dont ull get code P1870 and/or ur trans will lock up. Is this a perminent fix for the trans or is there a better alternative other than replacing it. Also i have not thrown the P1870 code, but i just wanted to verify the Hard shifting is due to the Valve in the transmission. It does not happen often maybe once every 3 months.
I have this same problem and have only thrown the code once and then it went off. The sonnax TCC repair kit is a perminate fix, and should be done by a transmision shop.
I have a pdf file of a walkthrough given to me by another board member(CDNFB) search for it.
Thread name is ""transmission problem? i hope not""
