A few weeks ago when I got the car back on the road after a long break due to a broken 3rd gear, I installed a pro 5.0 shifter and it keeps popping out of 5th I know its the shifter and not the trans cause for about a week I drove it with the stock shifter and no problems and after the install it pops out. anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?

Re: pro 5.0 not staying in 5th
You really shouldn't need to use the stop screws on the shifter since the T5 has internal stops.Drivetrain Moderator - "There are no stupid questions, only stupid people!"

Re: pro 5.0 not staying in 5th
Very true. I removed mine after I got locked out of 2, 4, and reverse and had to skip shift home. Mine have been out probably 3+ years now. Leaving them in and making sure they won't move wouldn't hurt anything though.
