    how often does this unit need serviced or rebuilt? and where do i go to have that done?!

    Please dear god don't tell me someone stuck you with one of those POS! :twak: well if you start off in like third and don't get on it you might get 50,000 out of it but if you go to the drag strip and have a spirited driving style about 2,500 mile and it's shot they are junk go get you a Zexel-Torsen

      ****ing awesome.. well how do i check if its bad *outside the car not installed* and also where do i get the parts to rebuild it and how expensive is that

        My car has 128k miles and my clutch packs are still fine.

          They're not that bad, in fact for daily driving they engage a little smoother than the torsens and they don't make that clicking sound. Yeah if you go around doing burnouts all the time it will wear out sooner but so will your tires and you'll be replacing those a lot more often than a differential.

          To answer the question, officially the OEM Auburns are not rebuildable but I have heard of those who disassemble the guts and swap the cones between sides, since it's typically the passenger side that wears out first. Auburn has their own rebuild service for the Pro units.
