Rebuilding My T5?

Well, I've got half my car apart right now because I'm rebuilding the 3.8 in my '96 bird. I'm a bit worried though. I've got a new rear end in there, I'm going to have a new engine and a new Centerforce DF clutch, so that leaves my transmission as the weak link in the drive-line, and I know the sychros are already on their way out the door.

I can pick up a rebuild kit for a decent price, but my only question is, how hard is it to rebuild these T5's? Will I need any special tools, or should I be good to with the tools I've used for a by-the book engine rebuild?

its not too hard but if youve never rebuilt a t5 b4 it can be very hard. tebuild kits i can get for $150. i have donemine and idid about 5at school.you just have to do it at least 2 or 3 times b4 attempting it on your own

yes you need special tools and a press.... a bunch of stuff is pressed on, autos are soooo much easier to rebuild :p

you do not need a press for a t5 ive rebuilt 6. you need pliers, snap ring pliers, 10mm 13mm, and 15mm sockets and wrenches, a block of wood. a full rebuild kit, tranny assembly lube, and experience of doing it b4, and also a brass and a rubber mallet

And don't forget the 3 foot pry par and a sledge to get everything back in place. =)
